MARTIN OWAKO – PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Martin is a well experienced strategic business leader with over 25 years of successful work in organizational improvement across multiple sectors. Initially, his engagements in sales and marketing functions resulted in gaining commercial experience in: selling space, perishable fish fillets exports, beverages (FMCGs), automobiles, telecommunications, hospitality, NGOs and Higher Institutions of learning. Having pursued a PhD majoring in strategic innovation and organizational performance, Martin has acquired superior capabilities in strategic management, capability development and research.
Martin is currently engaged in supporting start-up businesses and NGOs in Uganda as well as supervising MBA and PhD students in research, data management and reporting. Additionally, Martin is gifted with the art of leading strategic planning processes/meetings, innovative training skills, coaching, and mentoring of teams leading to great performance. This was exhibited at Diageo plc, Smile Communications, Devon Dalyn Ltd, Global Business University – Europe and currently Mofi Uganda Ltd as detailed in the CV.
He is very enthusiastic in character and full of determination to achieve exceptional performance. He is driven by ambitiousness, tenaciousness and resilience.
Martin speaks, English, Kiswahili, Luganda, and Ateso languages fluently. He enjoys reading, athletics, gardening, swimming, computers, Music, and debating in business and social leadership groups. Martin participates actively in CSR and community activities supporting the underserved people such as the youth, children, elderly and the disabled.
TOM WABWIE – PROFFESSIONAL PROFILE
Tom Wabwire, a graduate of Chemical and Software application Engineering is sales professional with outstanding performance, covering an experience record of over 20 years in field sales management, having worked at various FMCG companies in Uganda, including EABL in the region. This exposure is now combined with laboratory workflow sales automation application specialization and training gained while in India in 2014 and 2015.
Tom supports the sales process automation projects in any stage by acting as a concept champion, supports the implementation of automation with customers throughout the sales territories in close cooperation with the application suppliers, consultants, the local client manager teams, Area Sales Managers and their distributors.
JARED N. MOKOBO – PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Jared holds an MBA degree specializing in Strategic planning of Herriot Watt University, Scotland and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
Jared has 17 years’ experience in Sales and marketing that spans across various industries – marketing services, tyres as well as media. Through the years, he gained experience in different positions and turned around the performance of the companies he worked for. Among others, he was the Sales Manager of Capital Radio – Uganda Ltd. for over 5 years, a period during which the company’s turnover and profitability grew significantly. Currently, he is the Country Sales Manager at Wanainchi Group (U) Ltd, East Africa’s fastest growing Satellite Pay TV Company.
Through the years, he has acquired experience in the following functional areas; Strategy planning; Market penetration; Retail Sales; Competitor/market analysis; Team Leadership and training; Sales Promotions/Merchandising and CRM.
Jared demonstrated abilities in managing business operations with focus on top line and bottom-line performance and expertise in determining company’s mission and strategic direction as conveyed through policies and corporate objectives.
CHARLES. P. OKOTH – PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Charles holds a degree in Business studies and marketing obtained from Makerere Business School (1995), and with degree in marketing from Cyprus Institute of Marketing (2012).
Charles is a dedicated Sales and Marketing professional driven by the desire to grow and develop while delivering value for those he works for. His experience spans over 8 years at different roles working with Uganda Breweries Limited and stints at Serengeti Breweries- Tanzania (subsidiaries of Diageo PLC London) one of the biggest beverage producers and distributors in the world. His strength lies in working with people; helping those around him to get it right as a means of sustained collective productivity.
Charles has 12 years’ experience in Sales and marketing that cut across various levels. Through the years, he gained experience in different positions and turned around the performance of East African Breweries Limited (Uganda). Among others, he was the Sales Capability Development manager for over 3 years; a period during which the company’s turnover and profitability grew significantly and as a mentor he takes all responsibility to see others’ ability to deliver good performance. APOLLO WANGALWA – PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Apollo Wangalwa is founding member and associate of the Chartered Management Institute United Kingdom. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Cyprus Business School and training and management qualifications from the Uganda Management Institute. He also holds the Uganda Diploma in Business Studies majoring in accountancy from Makerere University Business School. He has training in sales, marketing, strategy, brands, human resources and projects.
Over his 23 years’ experience he has held accounting, sales, administrative, management positions in premier national assets like The Madhvani Group and Uganda Breweries Ltd and global icons like Pharmacia and Upjohn Inc. and Portugal Telecom trading as Directel Global.
He has worked with national brands like Madhvani Tea, Rwenzori Mineral Water, Yellow Pages and Bell Lager though regional brands like Pilsner Lager, Senator and Tusker, tropical labels like Metakelfin, to international labels like Mobil, Castrol, Rogaine, Unicap M, Dalacin C, Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker and Guinness.
He is an ardent talent development professional and consultant in sales, marketing, branding and strategy development.
PAUL SSEWANKAMBO – SKILLS SUMMARY
Paul has acquired over 16 years of balanced experience in senior management. This is blended with a sales and marketing hands on wealth of experience and skill. 13 years of this in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs) focusing majorly on beverages and two years in Tyre Automobile Industry. Two years handling various consultancy projects in telecom and insurance industry. Paul served in senior management positions as Country Manager, Commercial Manager and Regional Sales Manager. Paul worked with Sameer Africa Ltd-Yana/Firestone Tyres, Crown Beverages Ltd-Pepsi Uganda and Uganda Breweries Ltd (UBL) / East African Breweries Limited (EABL).
This enhanced both People performance management, brand building initiatives and customer care skills. Paul polished Training, mentoring, supervisory skills, eventually maturing in functional and leadership capabilities. Key successes involve nurturing and mentoring young graduates into a dynamic and professional sales force with High performance qualities. Excellent people management skills were exhibited when Paul controlled a team of staff in various departments at Sameer Africa Uganda among others, Area sales Managers, Trade development representatives, account managers and market developers in beverage companies as well as over 30 businesses for distributors and dealers.
Two Years of the 16 years’ experience was as Country Manager for Sameer Africa Uganda-Yana/Firestone Tires in charge of national strategy, business development as team leader.
Four years of the 16-year experience was as a Commercial Manager in charge of managing Distributor Finances, operations and consultancy advice to the company in relation to regional unit sales volume growth at EABL. Paul participated in establishment of the UBL distribution network and continuous redesigning of the same to match and exceed customer expectations. This grew national sales by 200% over that period.
For Four years Paul worked as a regional sales manager both at UBL and Pepsi overseeing strategic drive and brand building.
Six-6 years’ experience of the above was in direct distribution development and management having been in charge of setting, supervision and meeting company unit sales Volume targets through effective execution of Best Operating standards (BOP) set by Guinness Dublin. This was through effective distribution by training and motivating distributor staff, customer care and opening new markets as well as Enhancement of High-Performance Coaching.
Over the years, Paul underwent focused skills development by Diageo capability Development institute, these include sales functional Skills like Sales Drivers, Insight generation, Commercial Planning, Managing relations, Trade strategy and Outlet Customer Segmentation. KASENGE MARTIN – PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Kasenge Martin a PhD Candidate (Business Administration) who equally holds an MBA (Finance) from Uganda Martyrs University and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Makerere University Kampala. He also holds a PGD (Financial Management) from Uganda Management Institute and has over 14 years hands-on experience in research, finance, banking, training/teaching and project management. Martin is currently a Lecturer of Accounting and Finance at Uganda Martyrs University and also a researcher conducting market surveys, baseline surveys, and impact assessments for a number of firms in Uganda. Martin has extensive financial modeling skills, project documentation skills, presentation skills, data management, communication ability, relationship management, leadership and interpersonal skills.
